I’m glad you asked.

So I’m going to both show you HOW to use the site while being a good user at the same time!

So after you sign up to the site you’re greeted with the homepage!

At the top you have the link to go to various websites, like Achievement Hunter, The Store, and RTX.

Below that you have all the drop down menus

Those help you navigate the website. Need something to entertain you?

I’m sure something in these menus will do.

In the Top right corner is you profile navigation and your alerts.

I’ve blotted out my name and shit because I don’t really want random requests and shit. Though most of you know who I am anyway.

The little arrow next to your name is a drop down menu to check private messages and other things. The Red block number is a list of all your notifications.

Notifications include, people commenting on your journals/images. Forum replies. And other things.

If you click on your Icon, you’ll be transported to your home page!

This is the hub where you’ll see all of your friend’s activities!

To the left you have your Karma and shit.

Now, if you’re not a sponsor it’ll look more like this

But if you give RT $10 every 6 months, it’ll look like this.

NOW. Here’s something to remember.
Karma…means…jack…shit.
Karma just shows how much activity you have on the website. Nothing more. So don’t worry about it.

Next you have you Tabs.

Here you can navigate to type up journals, post images or video links, see who’s commented on your page, or just view your wicked awesome profile.

Your profile is going to show your interests, the last thing you posted, Staff Awards, and various other things.

There’s default setting on all profiles, but you can edit it so it says things!

Now this in important. ALWAYS READ SOMEONE PROFILE.

See how mine says “No Random Friend Requests”? THAT FUCKING MEANS DO NOT SEND ME A FUCKING FRIEND REQUEST IF WE HAVE NEVER SPOKEN BEFORE! You will avoid SO MUCH rudeness if you just READ someone’s profile!

Also, see in to the right corner? There’s a small link that says “Edit Profile”? That’s where you can add extra things to your profile. Like gifs, or words of wisdom.

Alright. Now that you know about your profile, let’s look at a special drop down. The Members drop down.

Here you can find The Forum, Chats, Groups, and everything else.

There forum has THOUSANDS of threads that you can chat in. So pick some!

How to comment on a Thread!

Write some words in the comment box. Non sponsors look like something above. Sponsors get below.

FORUM ETIQUETTE!

Read the original post carefully for rules, and please follow them! Breaking the rules in a thread can get you banned, your post deleted, or worse…SOMEONE COULD MAKE FUN OF YOU!! Dun dun dun.
You’re going to be made fun of. Don’t be an asshole about. All newbies get hassled. If you make it through it, you can make a lot of friends.
Forums have Mods points. Where you can rate someone’s comments. There are both positive mods, and negative mods. THEY DON’T MEAN ANYTHING. DO NOT GET BUTTHURT THAT SOMEONE NEGGED YOU.

Use proper grammar and spelling. “Typin lyk dis” will make people outright bash you. Don’t be stupid, stupid.

Journals are rated by likes. Just FYI. Only Forums have mod points.

You can watch any forum thread you want so you can receive notifications when someone replies to them.

Don’t feel ignored if it seems like people are ignoring you. If you can seem to fit into a conversation, then maybe the thread isn’t for you. Try another. :)

Just keep trying until you find your niche.

Staff: Yes all Rooster Teeth staff have their own profiles on the website! Yes I know it’s pretty tantalizing to comment on their page. But remember, do not make an ass out of yourself. These people get hundreds of comments a day, and they don’t really have the time to pay attention to all of them. If you want to leave a comment, go ahead, just don’t be a shithead.

Check the God Damn FAQ, for Christ’s sake. It’s both funny AND informative.

No matter what the technical issue on the site is, it is always Ben’s fault. Even though it probably isn’t.

Sometimes the staff comments on a thread. I’ve seen Joel pop in and out of threads. They do it to fuck you up. Freaking out is a natural response.
